On-device OCR Screen text is extracted by macOS Vision framework. No cloud API, no upload.
Local transcription Audio is transcribed using on-device Whisper. Your conversations stay on your machine.
Local SQLite All data lives in a local database. No sync, no telemetry, no account required.
Secret redaction Sensitive patterns (passwords, tokens, keys) are detected and redacted before indexing.
No network required Mnema works offline after setup. On first use of local transcription, model files are downloaded once from Hugging Face. The only other outbound request is an optional update check.
